Global nickel supply and demand gap in 2016 was 23,000 tons of material


Foreign media on October 7 news, Inco study based organizations (INSG) on Wednesday released a report that in 2016 global nickel demand is expected to increase to 1.965 million tons in 2015 to 1.905 million tons.


2016 global nickel production is expected to be reduced to 1.942 million tons in 2015 to 1.954 million tons.

This will make the next year the global nickel market appeared 23,000 tons of supply and demand gap, and in 2015 for the supply of 49,000 tons of surplus.

Report, market supply and demand gap will be converted, the reason behind this is that China's nickel consumption will increase.

"It is expected this year and next to make a global primary nickel alloy consumption expected to increase both, Chinese nickel consumption growth will continue to be the dominant force."

The report said that in Europe, native-nickel stainless steel producers expected to benefit from the EU originating from cold-rolled stainless steel in China and Taiwan to levy anti-dumping duties.

Indonesia since early 2014 original ore export ban, which made China's nickel pig iron production declined, but Philippine nickel ore exports increased that China's nickel pig iron output will remain higher than market expectations.

"Is expected in 2016, Chinese nickel pig iron production will increase, mainly for new capacity projects launched, but the construction pace of overseas production facility is still slow."

In the past three years, a substantial increase in nickel stocks touched tripled to a record high in June of 470,376 tonnes, slightly lower than the 450,000 tonnes Wednesday.
